Is the ServSafe Alcohol Course and Exam BASSET approved?

Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training (BASSET) is the State of Illinois' responsible beverage seller/server program. The ServSafe Alcohol course and exam are Bassett-approved in Illinois.

• Course & Exam: Illinois customers should use the ServSafe Alcohol primary course and exam bundle.

• Certificate: Upon completion, students will receive both a ServSafe Alcohol Certificate and a BASSET card.

• BASSET Card: The BASSET card will be mailed directly from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission.

• The BASSET card can be printed from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission site and looked up as needed: Illinois BASSET Card Lookup.

• Out of State Employees: If you have an out-of-state profile (e.g., from Indiana, "IN") but work for a company in Illinois ("IL"), you may not receive your BASSETT card. To resolve this, we recommend updating your profile to an Illinois address before proceeding with the exam or certification process.
