Can I proctor the exam virtually with web cam and microphone access?

ServSafe does not permit proctors to administer exams remotely/virtually using a webcam and microphone. All ServSafe exams must be proctored either in person or through an approved online platform like ProctorU, which ServSafe designates for online proctoring.

If you are a ServSafe proctor, you must follow these guidelines:

1. In-Person Proctoring: Exams must be administered in a physical location where you are present to monitor the exam session.

2. Online Proctoring with ProctorU: If candidates are taking an exam online, it must be proctored through ProctorU, which ensures compliance with ServSafe’s exam security standards.
